New Delhi: The Seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi league commenced on July 20 with the opening fixture between the Patna Pirates and U Mumba played out at the Gachibowli indoor arena in Hyderabad.
The 2019 season of India's professional Kabaddi league will witness twelve teams battle it hard on the mat to gun down each other during a three month long season to ultimately lay hands on the coveted trophy. The grand finale of the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi league shall be played on October 19. The final squads for the twelve teams competing in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2019 season 7 were finalised after 441 players (388 domestic+53 players) went under the hammer in the auction held on April 8 and 9. The second match of the opening day saw Bengaluru Bulls edge Patna Pirates 34-32 in a nerve wrecking encounter. Day 2 Match Highlight: On the second day of the season, Gujarat Fortune Giants trounced Bengaluru Bulls 42-24 to register their maiden win of the season. The Tamil Thalaivas notched up an impressive win by downing Telegu Titans in the second game by a margin of 39-26. Day 3 Match Highlight: On Day 3 of the PKL 2019 season, Jaipur Pink Panthers opened their season on a winning note beating U Mumba 42-23, while the Haryana Steelers got the better of Puneri Paltan 34-24. Day 4 Match Highlight: The fourth day of the ongoing PKL season witnessed Bengal Warriors trounce UP Yoddha's 48-17 while Delhi Dabangs registered a nail biting win over Telugu Titans 34-33.
