Aman Sehrawat Wrestling Semifinal: All is not lost in Paris for the Indian contingent. Even though bettering their tally of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 seems a fair distance away and almost out of reach, there are still medals on offer and athletes in contention to add to the country's medal tally which remains stranded on three post the three shooting medals which they won earlier.

However, in a big boost to their medal hopes in the ongoing 33rd Summer Olympics, Aman Sehrawat has stormed his way into the semifinals of the Men's 57 Kg Freestyle wrestling. His performance comes after the disappointment of Vinesh Phogat who had reached the finals, assuring the country of a medal only to be disqualified for being 100 grams overweight at the time of weigh in on the morning of the gold medal bout.

What makes Sehrawat's performance all the more special is the fact that he has won both his matches by technical superiority so far. While his win over Macedonia's Vladimir Egorov came via a 10-0 result, he was even better against Albania's Zelimkhan Abakarov where he won 12-0.

When Is Aman Sehrawat Wrestling Semifinal?

There is not much time for Aman Sehrawat's Wrestling Semifinal. The Indian would take the mat again for the semifinal later this night. He will face Japan's Rei Higuchi in the 57 kg Semifinal, setting the stage for an India vs Japan bout in the final four.
