Despite losing a 3-1 lead at the start, 'extra time goals' from Alvaro Morata and Mikel Oyarzablo helped Spain beat Croatia 5-3 in a thrilling game at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Monday, to make it to the quarter-finals of the European Football Championship 2020.


Spain vs Croatia match is now second in the list of matches for most goals scored in a single match in the history of the European Championship. More goals were scored last time during Yugoslavia's 5-4 win over France in 1960.

A nine-year-old tweet by MS Dhoni for the Spain football team went viral on Tuesday. Dhoni's tweet went viral after Spain defeated Croatia 5-3 in Round 16 of European Championships 2020 to progress to the quarterfinals and face either Switzerland or France.

In another thriller, Raheem Sterling and captain Harry Kane scored in the second half as England beat Germany 2-0 in the European Football Championship on Tuesday to enter the quarter-finals. In the last-16 match, Sterling scored in the 75th minute and Kane scored in the 86th minute for England at Wembley Stadium.
