London: England defeated Germany 2-0 in the Round-of-16 match of Euro 2020. It was an unexpected loss for the German side. Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling were the two goal scorers for England. But one of the infamous highlights or the moments of the match was when the English fans decided to boo whilst the German national anthem was being played.
The English fans faced a lot of flack for this gesture but Michael Vaughan, the former England cricketer said that the gesture of booing the German national anthem was "like booing the villain at pantomime" and everyone should "get over it".

Michael Vaughan's statements sparked a lot of reactions in the comments section. Many were not happy with the way Vaughan put out his opinion. Vaughan's opinion is contrasting with the statement that was released by The FA.
The FA released a statement where they urged the English fans to show "respect" towards other nations.
