DAY 4, SESSION 1

Having gained a lead of 87, Australia would have hoped to run through the Indian batting line-up again but KL Rahul kept them at bay with a fine fifty. After his dismissal, India did seem to have lost their way but the pair of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane showed great skills to survive the day. India currently lead by 126 runs and will know they need to add at least 100 more runs to start fancying their chances. Australia will come out hard knowing that chasing won't be that easy. It promises to be another intriguing day of cricket. Stay tuned for all the action.

Pitch Report - Sunil Gavaskar says that yesterday was a cracker of a day. Feels that this wicket is going to remain two paced throughout the contest. Mentions that the ball will turn and bounce, with the odd ball keeping low. Also adds that the inconsistency in bounce will be lethal as the cracks will keep getting wider as the day progresses. Brett Lee feels that Starc should bowl from the Beml end, Ishant Sharma really looked threatening from that end as he kept bowling on a back of a length area. Sunil Gavaskar feels that India would be looking to add a minimum of hundred runs on the board to pull the game back in their favour. (Talking about the new ball) Opines that the Aussies should wait for a while, to check if the old ball is doing any tricks and then go for the new ball. Ends by saying that it would be an exciting game of cricket for sure with both the teams still in the contest.

Hello everyone and welcome to the coverage of the fourth day of the second Test between India and Australia at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Well many of us didn't quite expect the game to go into the penultimate day, did we? When Indian were bundled out for 189 and the pitch offering a lot of assistance then, it looked like we may be in for a quick game but it wasa not to be. Both teams have applied themselves well, especially India who have done well to stay in the game.
