Cricketer-turned-commentator Kevin Pietersen has left the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 commentary panel with immediate effect. The former England captain took to social media to confirmed this through a tweet. Pietersen was part of the IPL 2020 commentary panel for the first half, but one of the most enthusiastic commentators on the IPL 2020 commentary panel had to return to London. Here's Why!

"I left the IPL as it's half term for my kids and I want to be at home with them. It's been a strange year, so now they're off school, I want to be with them all day, everyday," Pietersen, who has two kids with his singer wife Jessica Taylor, tweeted.

Thursday's match between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore was his last match as a commentator this season.
