Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are easily among the most loved cricketers from India. While Kohli is widely regarded as one of the best batters that the world cricket has ever witnessed, Dhoni's legacy as a wicketkeeper-batter, a finisher and as the only captain to have won all three ICC trophies in white-ball cricket remains unparalleled.
The two share a lot of respect for each other and Kohli has often gone on record talking about the good camaraderie that they both enjoy. With Dhoni having announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 and Kohli busy with a packed India and IPL schedule, the two rarely get to catch up these days.
However, during the IPL 2023 encounter between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the two were up against each other. After the match though, the two enjoyed a candid chat with Kohli breaking into a laughter in the middle of the conversation.

Talking about the match, RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first. However, they conceded 226 runs with Devon Conway's 84 off 45 and Shivam Dube's 52 off 27 starring with the bat for Chennai apart from Ajinkya Rahane's 37 off 20.
In response, Bangalore looked in a good position to chase the total down but eventually fell 8 runs short. Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36) and captain Faf du Plessis *62 off 33) scored half-centuries but in the end it wasn't enough for them to cross the line.
Kohli failed to make a significant score in this match, making 6 while Dhoni had faced just one ball, remaining unbeaten on 1.
Monday's win was the third one of the season for the Men in Yellow who now find themselves at the third place on the points table with 6 points while Bangalore with two wins and three defeats are now at the seventh place on the table.
