India’s ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah was spotted talking to England’s lethal pacer Jofra Archer as both marked their presence at the  Brabourne Stadium to watch the WPL 2023 final. Mumbai Indians then took to their social media handle and posted a video where the two were seen talking to each other.

Bumrah will not be taking part in this year’s IPL as he has been ruled out due to injury. The last time Bumrah played was back in August 2022 and also missed out on playing multiple series like Asia Cup, T20 World Cup, Test, and ODI series against Australia.

Mumbai Indians had roped in Jofra Archer for Rs 8 crore in the IPL mega auction. Archer also sustained an elbow injury and was out of action for over a year now. Mumbai Indians will start their IPL 2023 campaign by facing Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 2.

Talking about the WPL final, Mumbai clinched the inaugural WPL 2023 trophy after defeating Delhi Capitals on Sunday. Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai won the thrilling final by 7 wickets.

Kaur played a vital knock of 37 while Nat Sciver-Brunt was the star with the bat as she made 60 runs and powered Mumbai to an exciting win at the Brabourne stadium.

Harmanpreet spoke to the media after the match and said, “Great experience, we were waiting for so many years. Everyone enjoyed this throughout the dressing room. It feels like a dream, for everyone here. So many people were asking when WPL will come and that day is here, and we are so happy and proud.”

“Very happy with how everyone performed. I think staying positive is key, we were lucky with full tosses going in our favour. This is a special moment for all of us, I have been waiting a long time and today I know what it feels like to be winning. It was a great experience and waiting for next year,” she added.
