Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season kicks off on Saturday (March 22) with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening match. Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has been left out of IPL 2025 commentary panel, sparking speculation among fans.

Reports suggest that Pathan's exclusion could be due to his outspoken remarks about certain Indian players, particularly during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. There's even a speculation that a formal complaint was filed against him, which may have influenced the decision to drop him from the IPL 2025 commentary lineup.

Irfan Pathan out of IPL commentary amid bias claims

According to MyKhel, Irfan Pathan has been left out of IPL 2025 commentary panel following complaints from several Indian cricketers who feel his criticism of them is driven by personal bias.

"Otherwise, his (Pathan’s) name would have been there. It’s been happening for the last two years as he was carrying his personal agendas against certain players and that didn’t go down well with the system," a source was quoted as saying by the website.

While the exact details remain unclear, Pathan has since launched his own YouTube channel, 'Sidhi Baat,' where he is expected to address the controversy and share his unfiltered views.
