After 73 nail-biting matches and high-adrenaline encounters, the 2023 season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) will come to a close on Sunday (May 28) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. IPL 2023 Final will witness the repeat of this season's inaugural match. One of the biggest challenges Chennai Super Kings (CSK) face in lifting the coveted IPL trophy for record-breaking fifth time is Shubman Gill, who has been in red-hot form ever since the tournament started. He is already the Orange Cap winner and is entering GT vs CSK IPL 16 final after scoring three centuries in his last four IPL games. Gill played a match-winning 129-run innings vs Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2.

Meanwhile, cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra answered which Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowler will be the only threat for Shubman Gill in tonight's GT vs CSK IPL 2023 Final at Ahmedabad. Chopra opined that if Gill manages to tackle Chahar with the new ball, he will go on to attain another big score in the tournament. Notably, Deepak Chahar had dismissed Gill in IPL 2023 Qualifier 1, which CSK won to confirm their spot in IPL 2023 Final.

"This guy (Shubman Gill) is batting differently. He is not the crowned prince, he has already become the king. Can he break Kohli's 900-plus season's ma record? He will have to again score 122 runs for that. He has struck three centuries in his last four innings," Chopra said on his Youtube Channel.

"The only problem that he has is the law of averages. Other than that, no one can stop this guy. If he can manage the new ball at the start, which he can do, Deepak Chahar is the only threat, but if he manages him, this player will hit again. He is an extremely mighty player," the former India opener added.

So far in IPL 2023, Orange Cap holder Shubman Gill has scored 851 runs with help of three centuries, making him only third batter in IPL history to score three or more centuries in an IPL season.
