Mayank Yadav has created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by becoming the first cricketer to win two consecutive Player-of-the-Match awards in his first two matches. 

Mayank Yadav broke his own record by bowling a delivery at 156.7 KMPH against RCB. Earlier, Mayank, in his debut IPL game against PBKS, bowled a delivery at 155.8 KMPH to Shikhar Dhawan. The rising pacer-bowling sensation bowled one of the quickest bowling spells in IPL.

In his two IPL matches thus far, Mayank has picked 6 wickets for just 41 runs from 8 overs, making him the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2024, thus far. All six of Mayank's wickets have come from dismissing top-order batters.

Mayank has now become the 6th bowler in IPL history to achieve three or more wicket hauls in each of their first two IPL matches.
