IPL 2024 injured players list: As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 approaches, all teams have commenced their preparations and practice sessions through pre-season camps. The T20 tournament is scheduled to begin on March 22, featuring an opening match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, several players have been sidelined due to injuries or personal reasons.

Lucknow Super Giants: England's fast bowler Mark Wood has opted out of participating in IPL 2024 to focus on managing his workload ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. In his absence, Lucknow Super Giants have recruited West Indies' Shamar Joseph as his replacement.

Chennai Super Kings: CSK may face the absence of New Zealand batsman Devon Conway during the initial stages of IPL 2024 due to a thumb surgery he underwent following an injury sustained during the NZ vs AUS T20I series. Conway, who was the highest run-scorer for the MS Dhoni-led side in the previous IPL season, is likely to be sidelined. The defending champions are yet to announce a replacement for him.

Kolkata Knight Riders: England's Jason Roy has withdrawn from participating in IPL 2024 citing personal reasons. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced Phil Salt as his replacement. Additionally, Gus Atkinson has chosen to opt out of IPL 2024 in order to manage his workload.

Gujarat Titans: Mohammed Shami, currently recovering from ankle surgery in London, will not be available for both IPL 2024 and the T20 World Cup 2024. Gujarat Titans (GT) have not yet revealed any replacement for the veteran pacer. Meanwhile, Matthew Wade is anticipated to participate in the Sheffield Shield final, potentially causing him to miss the first two matches of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024.

Rajasthan Royals: Prasidh Krishna sustained an injury during the Ranji Trophy, leading to his exclusion from IPL 2024 as he undergoes surgery for his quadriceps tendon. The franchise is yet to announce a replacement for the pacer.
