Royal Challengers Bangalore's (14 points from 13 IPL games) latest win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, courtesy of Virat Kohli's record-breaking 6th IPL ton, helped them jump to fourth spot in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Points Table. RCB is on the brink of making it to IPL 2023 Playoffs. If Bangalore win their remaining game, which is against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday (May 21), they will beat every other team for a spot in IPL 2023 Playoffs.

Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Mumbai Indians (14 points from 13 IPL matches) attain a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday they still have to depend on other results. For MI to finish second, Chennai Super Kings (CSK, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) should lose their last matches. MI won't finish 2nd if any of these three teams win their remaining matches in league stage. If SRH beat MI on Sunday, Mumbai Indians will hope  Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR ) lose their respective matches by a big margin and Rajasthan vs Punjab match  either ends in a draw or Punjab beats RR by a close margin.

Krunal Pandya-led Lucknow Super Giants (15 points from 13 IPL matches) are in a much better position, compared to other teams. If Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday (May 20), they will confirm a berth in IPL 2023 Playoffs. Even if LSG lose their last league stage match against KKR, they might qualify for Playoffs but will need either Mumbai Indians or Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to lose one game, at least.

MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (15 points from 13 IPL games) will qualify for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Playoffs if they beat Delhi Capitals in their remaining league stage match on Saturday (May 20) at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. CSK can make it through to IPL 2023 Playoffs even if they lose against Delhi Capitals but for that to happen RCB or MI must lose at least one of their remaining games in the league stage.

Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (12 points from 13 IPL matches) are slated to play their last league stage match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Friday (May 19) in Dharamshala. RR can still qualify for IPL 2023 Playoffs if they beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by a huge margin and MI, RCB and KKR lose their remaining games.

Two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Kolkata Knight Riders (12 points from 13 matches) have to defeat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by a big margin and then hope for Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to lose their remaining matches in league stage to make it to IPL 2023 Playoffs. But that's not all, KKR still have to rely on results of PBKS vs RR IPL clash. For KKR to benefit in race to IPL 2023 Playoffs, Punjab vs Rajasthan match must end in a draw or Punjab must secure a win over RR by a close margin.

Punjab Kings (12 points from 13 IPL games) are barely alive in the race to IPL 2023 Playoffs. PBKS need to beat RR by a big margin and hope for MI, RCB, and KKR to concede their remaining games to enter top-four by the end of league stage.
