- Rising Pune Supergiants chased the target set by Mumbai Indians with 32 balls remaining. Only twice have Mumbai Indians lost an IPL game with more deliveries to spare.
- Jasprit Bumrah conceded 20 runs in his 3rd over. This is his second-highest in T20s. His worst came versus Royal Challengers Bangalore last year when he conceded 25 runs.
- Harbhajan Singh scored 45 not out today. It was the second highest score by a No. 8 batsman in the IPL history. Interestingly, the highest score also belongs to Harbhajan - 64 vs Kings XI Punjab in 2015.
- Only 3 bowlers have bowled 4 overs and conceded 10 or fewer runs at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL -- Shaun Pollock in 2008, Dale Steyn in 2012 and Rajat Bhatia today.
- Ajinkya Rahane scored 66 not out today. It was his 19th fifty-plus score in the IPL, equalling Virat Kohli. Only six batsmen have more fifty-plus scores.
- This is the first instance in IPL history where four bowlers took a wicket with their first ball in an innings.
- Mumbai Indians were five wickets down at the score of 40 -- their lowest for the loss of five wickets in IPL history. Their previous lowest was 41 vs Delhi Daredevils in 2012.
- This is the first time each of Mumbai Indians' top 4 batsmen have been dismissed for single-digit scores.
- Ishant Sharma completed his 100 T20s today. He took two important wickets to make it memorable -- dismissed Rohit Sharma off his first ball, and then got Lendl Simmons.
