Kolkata Knight Riders shared a video via its official Twitter handle in which Pravin Tambe can be seen getting emotional as he interacted with the squad after watching his biopic.

"People have seen my 41-year-old debut but not the struggle behind it. I just want to say never stop following your dreams because they do come true sometimes," Tambe said in the video. After this, his fellow players were seen encouraging him.

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said in the video, "We were so excited to see the film, and today we finally got to see it. Praveen's story was emotional, and the songs were good too. The best of all is the ending. There was his speech at the end, which brought tears to my eyes."

A look at Pravin Tambe's cricket journey

Before playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL in 2013, Pravin Tambe had never played professional cricket. When he made his debut in the IPL in 2013, he became the oldest player to debut in the T20 tournament. In 2014, he grabbed the limelight by bagging a hat-trick against KKR.

The veteran spinner was bought by Kolkata in IPL 2022 mega auction but later BCCI canceled his contract as he had participated in a T10 league without the required approvals.
