New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals star wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler notched up his second century in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 during the match played between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

This is Buttler's third century for Rajasthan in the IPL history. He also became the first batter in IPL to score three tons for Rajasthan. The flamboyant batter scored his century (103 runs off 61 balls) against Kolkata with the help of nine fours and five sixes.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan reacted to Buttler's heroics, calling him the 'best T20 player in the world.'

“Best T20 player in the world @josbuttler #Fact #IPL2022,” tweeted Michael Vaughan.

Buttler, in his overall T20 cricketing career, has so far scored runs at an average of 80.5 since the T20 World Cup played in October last year, with a strike rate of 154.43. In this year's IPL, Buttler has scored 375 runs in six matches and currently holds the IPL 2022 Orange Cap.

Jos Buttler joined the elite list of batters who have scored three or more centuries in IPL. He is the sixth batter in IPL history to score three tons. Before him, Chris Gayle (6), Virat Kohli (5), David Warner (4), Shane Watson (4) and Sanju Samson (3) have scored three or more centuries in IPL history.
