New Delhi: Australia cricket team's senior opener David Warner is going through a rough patch nowadays. Talking about his IPL 2021 journey, Warner had to lose Sunrisers Hyderabad captaincy in IPL 14 phase 1 and in the UAE leg, the star batsman is not getting picked in SRH's playing XI due to his poor form with the bat.
David Warner has had a glorious past with the Hyderabad-based franchise as he led this team for five years and also powered them to a title win in 2016. Meanwhile, Warner on Thursday took to social media to express his pain by posting a cryptic message on his Instagram story.
Things seem to have turned out a bit serious in SRH as after David Warner was benched for Hyderabad's match against Chennai Super Kings, he decided to not be there in the team's dugout and reportedly decided to stay in his hotel room during the match. Sharing his Instagram story, Warner wrote, "It's not about who stays real to your face. It's about who stays real behind your back."
Taking note of the kind of treatment David Warner has been getting recently, it seems like Warner was taking a dig at someone from Sunrisers Hyderabad squad but since he hasn't mentioned anyone's name directly, all that fans can do is make speculations.
So far in IPL 2021, David Warner has scored 195 runs off 8 IPL games with a decent strike rate of 107.73 and scored two fifties. In an interview, Hyderabad head coach Trevor Baylis had indicated that Warner may not feature in the playing XI for the remaining matches and the team wants to give chances to the young players.
