Indian cricket team's star batsman Shreyas Iyer had recently suffered a shoulder injury on March 23 during the limited over series against England. In the first match of the three-match ODI series, Iyer suffered an injury during fielding, after which he was ruled out for the remaining two ODIs against England.
Iyer had to undergo a shoulder surgery for this injury and due to this he will not be able to play in the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Iyer, who had led his team Delhi Capitals to the final under his captaincy, will surely be missed by the franchise this year.
Shreyas Iyer on Thursday shared a photo of his post-surgery on Instagram and wrote that the surgery for his shoulder was successful, confirming that he will be back in "no time".
It is being reported that it may take about four months for Iyer to regain fitness. Significantly, Iyer was scheduled to participate in county cricket in England in July.
In fact, county team Lancashire signed him for the Royal London ODI Cup, but it is now being reported that it is most unlikely for Iyer to participate in the tournament because it will take him a few months time to get back on the cricket field.
