New Delhi: Indian cricket team's former star batsman Suresh Raina's sudden decision about his retirement had surprised everyone. During his career, the veteran has played under different captains for team India - Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. When Raina was asked to rank the three legendary Indian captains, he had an interesting answer for it. Raina currently plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) under MS Dhoni's captaincy.

"I have played a lot with Mahi bhai, as a batsman, as a player, as a leader too. When I was starting and the team was being built, I played under Rahul bhai. So, for me, it would be Dhoni, Dravid and Kohli. Virat and I… we have had some wonderful partnerships together and he has made quite a few records. So, I would say MS, Rahul Bhai and Cheeku (Virat)," Raina told RJ Raunak on the show '13 Jawaab Nahi'.

Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni started playing for the national cricket team almost at the same time. Raina is the first Indian batsman to score a century in all three formats (ODI, Test, T20).

Raina and Dhoni share a great bond, while playing together for CSK they won the IPL title record three-times. When CSK were banned, Dhoni captained Rising Pune Supergiant and Raina played for Gujarat Lions.

In the year 2018, again both came together to play for CSK. Also, both announced their retirement from international cricket on the same day i.e on August 15, 2020.
