Team India's limited overs specialist batsman Shreyas Iyer has shared a fitness update via video on Instagram. After his shoulder surgery, Iyer has started to workout and his physiotherapy. With this video, the star player has given a hint to his fans that he will return to the cricketing field soon.

Earlier this year, Shreyas Iyer got injured while fielding during the limited over series against England.  Iyer sustained an injury to his shoulder, later he had to undergo a surgery.  Due to this, Iyer missed playing for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 and was replaced by wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant as the captain of Delhi.

"Bro everyone of us wish you for speedy recovery, the only question everyone has is, ,will you be available for the srilankan series????? Pleaseee reply broo we all need you to be back," a user commented.

India will tour Sri Lanka in July for the limited overs series. Earlier it was believed that in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer could be given the command of the national squad, but at the moment it seems difficult for Iyer to go on this tour.

IPL 2021 had to be postponed after players were found to be Covid-19 positive inside the IPL bio-bubble.  At present, no decision has been taken on when the remaining 31 matches of the IPL will be played, but if these matches are to be played in October or November, then Shreyas Iyer might get fully fit to play for Delhi Capitals.
