New Delhi: The 38th match of Indian Premier League Phase 2 is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at Abu Dhabi. After winning the toss, KKR decided to bat first. Even after getting a good start, Kolkata's innings faltered as they lost quick four wickets. Kolkata were once 50/1 inside the powerplay but Chennai pulled back things in their favor quickly.
Meanwhile, veteran South African batsman Faf du Plessis completed a brilliant boundary catch and that too with a bleeding knee to send Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan back to the pavilion.
In the very first ball of 10th over Morgan decided to go big against Chennai speedster Josh Hazlewood down the ground but failed to put in the required power behind his shot as the ball went towards du Plessis, standing at long-on.
Realising that he might step over the boundary rope while completing the catch, Faf showcased brilliant reflexes and balance to make sure his foot doesn't come in contact with the boundary rope.
Faf du Plessis' amazing effort helped CSK dent Kolkata's innings as they sent No. 4 batsman Morgan back to the pavilion in just the sixth over, for just 8 runs off 14 balls.
