New Delhi: Team India's stand-in Test captain KL Rahul is someone who usually opts to not show his emotions on field. But, the star opener on Wednesday made it clear that he isn't someone who is going to remain silent if poked by his opponents.
On Day of India vs South Africa 2nd Test at The Wanderers in Johannesburg, KL Rahul was involved in a war of words with South African captain Dean Elgar, after the former got dismissed.
KL Rahul has proved himself time and again and even in the ongoing Test series, the Karnataka batter has been absolutely brilliant with his shot selection. But, he failed to deliver in India's second innings and got caught out for just 8 runs off 21 balls.
KL Rahul looked extremely disappointed after his early dismissal as his team needed their in-form batter to stay on the crease and add some crucial runs. As Rahul was heading back to the pavilion, he heard something that was being discussed in the Proteas huddle which irked him.
The Indian Test captain then decided to take on the entire South African team single-handedly which eventually prompted a response from skipper Dean Elgar too.
The video of the heated exchange between the two skippers has gone viral on social media.
Speaking of the ongoing Ind vs SA contest, India were leading South Africa by 161 runs with four wickets remaining at Lunch break on Day 3. South African bowlers will aim to wrap up the Indian tailenders as soon as possible.
