New Delhi: Indian wicket-keepr batsman Rishabh Pant has replied to Yuvraj Singh’s ’45-minute conversation tweet' concerned with Rishabh’s heroics in the third ODI vs England.
England managed to score 259 in 46 overs as they were bowled out by the Indian team. Hardik Pandya starred in the bowling with figures of 7-3-24-4. In reply, Reece Topley rattled the Indian top order as India fell prey to left-armer’s impressive bowling and India were 38-3 and soon they were reeling at 72-4 after 17 overs.
Then came an iconic and brilliant partnership from Rishabh Pant and hardik Pandya, as the pair managed to put up 133-run stand for the 5th wicket as Pandya was caught-out on an impressive 71. Pant did the honours by finishing the match in style as his hard-fought, brilliant unbeaten 125 helped India win the match by 5 wickets and in the process, the ODI series 2-1.
After the match, former legendary all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, tweeted in praise of the Delhi Southpaw.
“Looks like the 45 minute conversation made sense!! Well played @RishabhPant17 that’s how you pace your ininings @hardikpandya7 great to watch 💪 #indiavseng,” tweeted Yuvraj.
The attention was caught of the users when Rishabh Pant replied and retweeted on Yuvraj’s tweet.
“It did, indeed Yuvi pa,” tweeted Pant.
The talk seems like helped a lot as Pant’s capability and resilience was on full display and he showed intent and maturity at the same time.
"Hopefully I remember (this knock) for the rest of my life. I was focusing on one ball at a time when I was batting. When your team is under pressure and you bat like that .. something I aspire to do. I always enjoy playing in England, at the same time enjoy the atmosphere and the situation," said Pant in post-match interview.
