New Delhi: Shardul Thakur shared a valuable 100-run partnership with wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant on Day 4 of Ind vs Eng Oval Test to bail the visitors out of tricky waters and put them into a solid lead in the second innings. The hosts bowled out India for 466 runs, and now have a target of 368 to win. Interestingly, England, in their entire Test history, has never chased a target of 360 or more.

Meanwhile, former India opener Virender Sehwag took to social media to praise Shardul for his 2nd heroic knock in the ongoing Ind vs Eng Test series. Sharing a picture of Shardul, Sehwag wrote: Lord Shardul showing the middle order how it is done. Magnificent 60. What a Teachers Day gift.
