New Delhi: After a humiliating loss at the Lord's Test, the Indian cricket team on Monday bounced by with a 157-run win over England by in the Ind vs Eng 4th Test at The Oval. Indian batsmen, in their second innings, had set a target of 368 runs for England to win.


Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah (24/2), Ravindra Jadeja (50/2), Umesh Yadav (60/3) and Shardul Thakur (22/2) bowled their hearts out to power India to a historic comeback win by bundling out the hosts for just 210 and take a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series.


Captain Virat Kohli batted well in both the innings but could not convert his innings into a big knock and the fans still have to wait for a ton from the Indian skipper.

Kohli scored 50 runs off 96 balls in the first innings. In the second innings, he scored 48 runs off 96 balls with help of 4 fours. The Indian captain has so far scored 218 runs in 7 innings of 4 Test matches in this series.


Meanwhile, Virat Kohli registered a unique record in the Oval test. Virat, who is already the most successful Indian Test captain, is now also the Asian captain with most number of wins (6) in SENA South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) countries. With India's historic win on Monday at The Oval, Kohli now also has the most Test wins by an Asian captain against and in England.


The fifth and final Test of the series will be played at the Old Trafford in Manchester from Friday onwards. While India's performance in the series is being discussed, former captain Sunil Gavaskar is very angry with a section of the Indian fans.
