New Delhi: Indian cricket team's captain and star batsman Virat Kohli has achieved another huge milestone. On Day 4 of Ind vs Eng Oval Test, Virat Kohli completed 10,000 runs in first-class cricket as soon as he reached the score of 30 during India's second innings in India vs England 4th Test. 


Virat Kohli attained this milestone in his 210th innings. However, the run-machine failed to break the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. India vs England five-match Test series is currently drawn at 1-1. Ind vs Eng Oval Test is turning out to be a thrilling affair and both the teams are giving a tough fight to one another. 


Talking about Virat Kohli's first-class career, this is his 128th match. One of the most decorated batsmen of all time, Virat has scored over 10,000 runs at an average of 52 with help of 34 centuries and 35 half-centuries.


In India, Ajay Sharma holds the record for making the fastest 10,000 first class runs. He had attained this feat in just 160 innings. Kohli is 50 innings behind Ajay in this matter.


Team India's batting coach Vikram Rathore has also scored 10,000 first-class runs in 210 innings. Vijay Merchant had reached the milestone in 171 innings, VVS Laxman in 194 innings, Sachin Tendulkar in 195 innings and Rahul Dravid in 208 innings. Skipper Kohli has not been able to score a century in international cricket since 2019. Even today, he was dismissed for just 44 runs by Moeen Ali. Virat looked in good touch in the Ind vs Eng Oval Test as he had scored 50 runs in India's first innings.
