New Delhi: Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah's excellent bowling form in white-ball cricket has garnered him immense praises from all corners of the world. Apart from the Edgbaston Test against England, he was highly impressive in Ind vs Eng T20 series, which India won 2-1. After this, in the Oval ODI against England, Jasprit Bumrah bagged his career's best ODI figures, bagging 6 wickets for just 19 runs. Jasprit Bumrah's role will be important for the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup. This year the T20 World Cup will be played in Australia. Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg has given a big statement regarding team India's all-format pacer Jasprit Bumrah's form and workload.

Hogg said that the Indian team will have to manage the workload of Jasprit Bumrah, if this is not done then his performance can be affected badly. The star pacer is a key bowler for India in white-ball cricket. Hogg asserted important management of Bumrah's workload will keep him refreshed for Test matches.

“He is definitely up there. But with all fast bowlers around the world, I think they have got to manage carefully because they are your main asset in any team. Yes, you've got your batters and spinners (but) the workload on the spinners isn't as harsh as on the fast bowlers,” Hogg exclusively told HindustanTimes.com.

“If you want Bumrah at his peak for Test cricket and the T20 World Cup and other tournaments, your medical staff have to be top-notch. When you are critiquing teams and when you see Bumrah doing not so well, that is probably a period where his training loads have dampened off.”

Jasprit Bumrah is India's number one bowler in all three formats. The speedster had himself said in the past that to play continuously, it is necessary that you remain mentally fresh. He said that it is not easy to stay mentally refreshed after playing consecutive matches. Rohit Sharma & Co. are currently playing a three-match one-day series against England. At present, the series is tied at 1-1 and the decider will be played tomorrow.
