Indian cricket team's fast bowler Mohammed Siraj scripted history Day 4 of India vs Australia Brisbane Test at the Gabba stadium. The right-arm fast bowler bowled a record-breaking spell to decimate the Australian batting attack as he picked 5 wickets for 73 runs in the second innings against Australia.

For the first time in his Test career, Mohammed Siraj picked five wickets in an innings and with this he broke the record of the great Indian fast bowler Javagal Srinath, who has taken 551 international wickets for team India.

After today's performance, Mohammed Siraj has become the Indian bowler to take maximum number of wickets in debut Test series in Australia. Siraj has taken 13 wickets in the current Ind vs Aus Test series and before this, legendary India speedster Javagal Srinath held this record. Srinath had taken 10 wickets in the year 1991-92.

Mohammad Siraj is the second Indian fast-bowler to have the best bowling performance in Brisbane's Gabba. In the year 1977, Madan Lal took 5 wickets for 72 runs. If Siraj had given 2 runs less in his spell today, then this record would have been registered in his name. Anyways, Siraj has won everyone's heart with his bowling.

Mohammed Siraj completed his five wickets by taking the wicket of Josh Hazlewood. With this, the spectators and all players of Team India cheered for him and gave him a standing ovation. Siraj led Indian players out of the ground and soon after crossing the boundary rope, he was embraced by fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

In absence of Bumrah, Siraj was leading the Indian team's bowling attack and he proved himself by taking record-breaking five wickets. India's tour of Australia has not been easy for Mohammed Siraj. He lost his father before the first match of the tour, but despite this he decided to remain with the national team.
