Australian cricket team, currently ranked No. 1 in ICC Test Rankings, will play IND vs AUS 3rd Test of four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy from March 1 in Indore. Stylish batter Steven Smith is currently leading the visitors after Pat Cummins was forced to leave India midway to attend his mother who is currently extremely unwell. Australia lost the first two Tests against India, both in just over one session.


Australia are required to draw at least one Test against India to qualify for the World Test Championship 2023 final. For India to reach WTC Final, they will need to produce at least a 3-0 or 3-1 win against Australia. Since 2012, India are on an enviable record streak of winning 15 consecutive Test series at home.

It was being reported earlier that Cummins would arrive in India to lead Australia in Indore Test (IND-AUS 3rd Test), but he decided to stay back for some more time due to his mother's deteriorating health.


Meanwhile, England cricket team's renowned supporter's group, the Barmy Army, took to Twitter to post a heartwarming video -- a tribute to Pat Cummins'ill mother Maria.
