T20 World Cup 2nd Semifinal: The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup will be played between Pakistan and Australia at the Dubai International Stadium today. This is the second time in T20 World Cup history that the two teams are clashing in the semi-finals. The two teams had earlier clashed in the 2010 World Cup, in which Australia registering a thrilling 3-wicket win against Men in Green.

Australia has never lost against Pakistan in an ICC tournament's knockout game. Pakistan, on the other hand, after winning all the five games in the ongoing World Cup, remain unbeaten.

Australia had snatched the victory from Pakistan's  jaws in the 2010 T20 World Cup semi-final

In that match 11 years ago, Pakistan batted first and set a target of 192 runs for Australia, courtesy brilliant innings from Kamran Akmal (50) and Umar Akmal (56 not out). In reply, Australia chased down the target after losing seven wickets for 144 runs in 17.1 overs.

Australia's top order had collapsed against lethal bowling spells of Mohammad Amir and Abdur Rehman. However, Mike Hussey's unbeaten 60 off 24 balls had snatched win from Pakistan's jaw. David Warner, Steve Smith and Mohammad Hafeez, who had been a part of the playing XI of the match against Australia, are playing in the squad this time.

Pakistan has a very good chance to avenge this defeat they were subjected to 11 years ago. The team has won all the matches of their group stage. Captain Babar Azam is the lead scorer of the World Cup, with fellow opener Mohammad Rizwan ranking third in terms of scoring runs in the ongoing tournament.

Bowlers Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi are also in a tremendous form. The best part is that Pakistani fielders are also looking vigilant this time. Pak fielders have caught amazing catches in this World Cup. The Pakistani team certainly seems to be settling the old account.
