MS Dhoni's heart-breaking run-out
With Indian hopes lying firm on their ever dependable finisher MS Dhoni, a turning point of the match came into effect when Martin Guptill produced a brilliant run-out to send Dhoni back to the pavilion.
With the run-rate piling up it was too much of a task for the Indian tail enders to pull off the chase. New Zealand eventually pulled off a sensational win over title contenders India and made it to their second successive World Cup final.
'I should have dived', says Mahi
In a interview with India Today, Dhoni revealed he regrets not diving for that second run which could have changed India's fortunes in the game.
"In my first game I was run-out and this game again I was run-out. I keep telling myself why didn't I dive. Those two inches I still keep telling myself I should have dived," Dhoni told India Today.
