Mik Schumacher, current driver of Haas F1  and the son of legendary Michael Schumacher was caught in a deadly accident during the qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Saturday. 


The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was interrupted with a red flag after this huge accident. The race resumed after the debris were cleared from the track. Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, Guanyu Zhou, Mick Schumacher, and Lance Stroll were the five eliminated drivers in Q2. Carlos Sainz was the fastest driver in Q2.

With four minutes and 58 seconds remaining in the Q2 of qualifying, Schumacher's F1 car crashed heavily into a concrete barrier at high speed at Turn 12. Then, he lost control of his car and then went straight into the wall.






Mik was airlifted to the hospital in Jeddah.


Mik also tweeted after his accident informing the fans about his safety. "Hi everyone, I just wanted to say that I’m ok. Thank you for the kind messages. The car felt great @haasf1team, we’ll come back stronger"






Stars like Lewis Hamilton, Nicholas Latifi, Yuki Tsunoda, Alexander Albon and Nico Hulkenberg were eliminated in the first qualifying stage itself.
