FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Los Angeles FC defeated Club América, scoring 2 goals leading over the losing side, who scored 1. This was the Play-in match of the Fifa Club World Cup 2025 USA. A dramatic late winner helped the MLS side grab 3 precious points. A firm LAFC Midfield and counter-attacking play confirmed their win.

The German Outfit Bayern Munich recorded the biggest so far in the tournament, as their young winger Jamal Musiala came of the bench and scored his second hattrick. Others like Michael Olise, Coman and the club legend Müller netted bangers. The well balanced German side with a mix of experience and youthful flair got the Auckland City players, who took leaves from jobs to play, breathing heavy. They just couldn't cope with Bayern's pace and pressing.

This tournament, so far, has seen some surprising and unprecedented performances by South American clubs. Botafogo stunned the UEFA Champions League winning French side of PSG with a disciplined defensive performance. Igor Jesus scored the only goal of the match on a coutnerattack. PSG dominated consistently throughout the match, however, they lacked cutting edge.

Inter Miami had a very intersting competition at the Club World Cup, against the 30-time Liga Portugal winning outfit, FC Porto. The Portuguese outfit secured a lead early, but Inter Miami didn't give up. They came back in contention with a goal in the second half, and later completed their domination with a trademark free-kick by the Legend himself Lionel Messi. This game showed Messi's continued influence on his team in tight matches.

The Premier League outfit Chelsea faced the Rio de Janeiro based Club, Flamengo where Pedro Neto scored first, but the team collapsed later, which helped Flamengo to go all-out to respond, through goals from Bruno Henrique, Danilo and Wallace Yan. Nicolas Jackson also produced a reckless tackle for which he received a red card in the 68th minute.

Bayern Munich also faced the Argentine Boca Juniors where their high-end tactics collapsed. Harry Kane and Olise did manage to find the back of the net, and Merential got one back for Boca. All in all, this match was very physical and Bayern struggled tactically, however they did manage to edge past Boca's aggressive pressing.
