Amlan Borgohain dreamed of becoming a footballer!
Joining Athletics as a professional was not Borgohain's first career choice. He wanted to become a footballer, but injuries kept him away from fulfilling this goal. He was facing some health issues while pursuing football, so his mother decided that the sport was not in his interest.
In an exclusive interview, Borgohain had told the Indian Express, "My mother told me to choose another sport or give up the sport altogether. There was no longer an option to play football. It was a difficult decision."
