London: England and Denmark will face each other on Wednesday in the Euro 2020 Semi-final. The English fans are excited and can't keep calm about the fact that England is in the semi-final of the Euros. The sounds of the famous song 'Its Coming Home' keep reverberating across the streets and bars of England. Not just ordinary citizens, but England's legendary footballer Wayne Rooney is also excited about the England vs Denmark semi-final.
In a video posted by the former Manchester United player, he is seen waking up his kids on the tunes of 'It's Coming Home'. This song is used by English football fans for a long time to cheer their team. The connotation of the song is that Football originated in England and thus if England manages to win a trophy, then the Trophy - as per English fans - has "Come Home".
Take a look at this video of Wayne Rooney waking his kids up:
As you can see in the video, Wayne Rooney was more excited than his kids about bringing the trophy 'home'.
The English fans have been trolled on the internet for using this slang as their team has just managed to win one Football World Cup back i 1966. Ost that, England's best performance came in the 1996 Euro Cup when their current coach, Gareth Southgate missed a penalty kick against Germany to lose in the Semi-final.
If England wins tonight, it will be their first-ever Euro Cup final of all time. The semi-final will be placed at 12;30 am on Thursday as per IST.
