Argentina's 1986 World Cup-winning captain Diego Maradona passed away at his home in Tigre after suffering a cardiac arrest. The Argentina World Cup winner and the national team's former manager had been in hospital in Buenos Aires after surgery to remove a blood clot on the brain earlier this month.  ALSO READ | Argentinian Football Legend Diego Maradona Dead At 60, Reports Cite Heart Attack


Maradona is one of the greatest football players of all time. He has played in four FIFA World Cups and was captain of the Argentine team that won the 1986 tournament. His last public appearance was when he was presented with a commemorative plaque ahead of his side's game with Patronato.

As soon as the unfortunate news went out, people across the world mourned the demise of Soccer legend. Several Cricket stars including Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Mohammad Kaif among others extended condolences upon the untimely death of the Soccer player.

Jamaican former sprinter Usain Bolt took to the official Twitter account saying, 'RIP to legend #Maradona'.
