Adelaide: Australia's star opener David Warner on Saturday scored his first-ever triple ton in Test cricket when he took the field at the Oval for the second Test against Pakistan.

The 33-year-old, who remained unbeaten on 335 off 418 balls, broke Aussie legend Don Bradman's (299 runs) record of having the highest individual score at the Adelaide Oval.

Warner's triple ton is the 1st from an Australian batsman since former captain Michael Clarke smashed an unbeaten 329 against India in January 2012.

Warner attained 300-runs off 389 balls; his triple ton is now the fourth fastest ever in the history of Test cricket. India's destructive opener Virender Sehwag (300-runs off 278 balls) holds the record for the fastest triple hundred ever in the longest format of the game.


Warner's unbeaten 335* is now the 2nd highest individual score by an Australian batsman in Tests. Warner failed to surpass Matthew Hayden's super record of 380-runs vs Zimbabwe.

The fiery innings of Warner ensured that Australia retain the record of never losing a Day-night Test as the Aussies declared their innings with the team total at 589/3 on scoreboard.
