ICC World Cup 2011 'Man of the Tournament', Yuvraj Singh shared a 45-second TVC of the tournament’s official broadcasters Star Sport, from his official Twitter handle. The video shows India former coach Garry lifting the World cup trophy, which reminded Yuvraj of the Indian cricket team's historical championship victory. The veteran took to Twitter, to pay homage to Kirsten for handling the team brilliantly and attain the prestigious WC trophy.


To support the Indian squad ahead of their crucial opener against the Proteas on June 5, Yuvraj tweeted. “April 2, 2011 – a night I can never forget, and a night that one South African played a key part in making it possible,” wrote Yuvraj.


Chasing a challenging target of 275, skipper MS Dhoni (91 not out) and Gautam Gambhir (97) had played brilliant knocks to help the men in blue defeated Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the finals of the 2011 World Cup on April 2.

While Yuvraj Singh was named a the man of the tournament, coach Gary Kirsten, had taken over the team as head coach at a time when the Indian squad was going through a tough time because of the disturbed period of Greg Chappell era. It was Gary, who reshaped the Indian team and made them the ‘best in the best in the world’.
