With some dominating bowling performance by Umesh Yadav (133/10), India defeated the visitors by 10 wickets in the second Test played in Hyderabad. After registering an innings and 272 runs in Rajkot, India claimed a win by 10 wickets against the West Indies for the first time. With this win, the hosts went on to clean sweep the Windies and win the Test series 2-0.


Umesh Yadav wreaked havoc during West Indies's second innings, bowling out the entire team in just 127 balls.






India had a target of 72 runs in which openers Lokesh Rahul (33) and Prithvi Shaw (33) batted maturely to easily achieve the target just before the end of the third day. Rahul hit one four and one six in his 53 ball innings, on the other hand, debutant Prithvi sent the ball four times out of the boundary in 45 balls he played.


On the third day, India started their innings at 308 for four wickets but West Indian bowlers stopped India at 367. On the basis of the first innings, there was a 56-run lead against India, which proved to be crucial in the match. After lunch, West Indies made an imposing 127 in 46.1 overs after tea.


In the second innings from India, Umesh Yadav struck four wickets giving away 45 runs. In the first innings he picked six wickets giving away 88 runs. In addition to Umesh, Ravindra Jadeja (3), Ashwin (2) and Kuldeep (1) got one wicket.


After hobbling against West Indies’ lethal bowling attack, India made a stunning comeback in the post-lunch session as they send 6 Caribbean batsmen packing to the dressing room. Extending a lead of just 20 runs, the visitors managed to post 76 runs in 27 overs at a cost of six wickets. Sunil Ambris was batting on 20 while skipper Jason Holder remained unbeaten on 4.
