Ahead of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final between South Africa and Australia at Lord's, the International Cricket Council has unveiled a massive increase in prize money. The total prize pool for the WTC 2023–25 Final is now USD 5.76 million (49,31,36,640 Indian Rupee at present), more than double the amount awarded in the previous two editions.
The winning team will receive USD 3.6 million (approximately Rs 30.78 crore), a big rise from the USD 1.6 million given in 2021 and 2023. The runner-up will earn USD 2.16 million (about Rs 18.46 crore) - a major increase from the previous USD 800,000.
WTC Final Set for June 11–15 at Lord's
The final between South Africa and Australia will be played from June 11 to June 15 at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London. To build excitement, the ICC released a special promotional video featuring South Africa's Temba Bavuma, Kagiso Rabada, and Aiden Markram, as well as Australia's Steve Smith and Travis Head.
Former greats such as Shaun Pollock, Dale Steyn, Matthew Hayden, Mel Jones, Nasser Hussain, Shoaib Akhtar, and Ravi Shastri also appear in the video.

South Africa and Australia Earn Final Berths
South Africa finished at the top of the WTC standings, securing their place in the final after series wins over Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, and a drawn series against India.
Australia qualified after a strong campaign, highlighted by a 3-1 win over India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a 3-0 series win against Pakistan at home, and additional victories against New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
