Suryakumar Yadav, one of the top T20 cricket batters, was not included in India's batting lineup for the opening match of the Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia. Despite warming the bench as the team management opted for Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, Suryakumar couldn't escape the attention of the cameras. While sitting on the bench, the attacking batsman was caught enjoying a snack by a cameraperson. Suryakumar's reaction to being filmed left fans on social media amused.

While Suryakumar was in the midst of a bite, a cameraperson captured him on camera. Realizing he was on the big screen, the middle-order batsman suddenly stopped chewing and froze in place.

The video quickly gained over 300,000 views on X (formerly Twitter). After the light-hearted moment, Suryakumar took it in good spirits and poked fun at himself on Instagram with the caption "Pakdaaaa Gaya," revealing his cheeky side to fans.

In the match, Mitchell Marsh and David Warner opened for Australia in the first inning. While Marsh departed without scoring, Warner (41 runs from 52 balls) and Steven Smith (46 runs from 71 balls) forged a crucial 69-run partnership.

Following Smith's dismissal, the Australian team struggled as India's bowling attack, led by Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravichandran Ashwin, put up a stellar performance. India bowled out Australia for 199, with Jadeja claiming three wickets, and Kuldeep and Jasprit Bumrah taking two each. Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, and Ashwin chipped in with one wicket each.

In the second inning, Australia had a good start by dismissing Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma, and Shreyas Iyer for ducks, leaving India at 2/3. However, Virat Kohli (85 runs from 116 balls) and KL Rahul (97* runs from 115 balls) formed a solid 165-run partnership, leading India to a six-wicket victory over Australia.

Upcoming Fixture of Team India: India's next match is against Afghanistan, scheduled for October 11 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
