India’s skipper Rohit Sharma played yet another incredible knock as he collected a third back-to-back fifty-plus score in the ongoing tour of the West Indies, his fastest half-century in Test cricket. Mohammed Siraj led the Indian bowling attack, dismantling the West Indies’ middle order, picking up six wickets in the first session on  Day 4 with Rohit breaching the fifty score within 35 deliveries.


Openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal made a 98-run opening partnership in just 71 deliveries, helping ndia add to their first-innings lead of 183 runs. It was the second-highest opening stand behind Marcus Trescothick and Michael Vaughan (10) in terms of run-rates* (8.28). Earlier, on Day 4, Mohammed Siraj registered his second five-wicket haul as his first came at the Gabba during the 2021 series. Debutant Mukesh Kumar also grabbed a couple of wickets and so did Jadeja and Ashwin also took a wicket.






The Indian team stepped out to bat with an attacking approach as the first over bowled by Roach went for 11 runs. Rohit on the other hand also smashed three sixes and five fours. Windies after resuming their innings at 229/5, were in a dominant position on Day 3 before  Joshua Da Silva was dismissed by Siraj at the team score of 208/4.
