David Warner seems to have learnt the art of tackling backlash from the English crowd in the ongoing series. We already saw how he reacted in the series opener when the spectators hurled sandpapers at him. And the latest incident happened on the third day of the Manchester Test when he was actually abused from a local fan but his reaction left the rest of the people in the stands giggling.

On his way to the field from the dressing room, Warner received an abusive comment as one spectator screamed, “Warner you f***ing cheat.” To everyone’s surprise, Warner turned around to face the fan and gave them a “wooh” with his thumbs up.

Here’s the video:

Though it has been a tough series for David Warner, the opener knows how to keep the trolls away from creating a mess.

Both Warner and Steve Smith have been on the gunpoint of the English crowd, right from the beginning of the Ashes 2019. Earlier at Edgbaston, Warner, who was playing his first Test match after serving a 12-month ban, brilliantly responded to a merciless English crowd who chanted “he’s got sandpaper in his hand” during the first Ashes Test.

The former vice-captain turned them quiet by pulling out of his empty pockets.
