The entire team applauded as Kohli took to the field in his 100th Test match for India. Although it was a nice gesture by the Indian team, fans might have missed an even lighter moment when Virat Kohli entered the field like usual. Rohit Sharma quickly went to Kohli and asked him to re-enter the field as the team wanted to give him a guard of honour on his achievement.

Virat Kohli played a decent innings of 45 in the Mohali Test. The real star of the Indian innings was Ravindra Jadeja who scored 175* on Day 2 of 1st Test. Ravindra Jadeja remained not-out at 175 when Rohit Sharma decided to declare India's innings at 574 runs. He was very well supported by Ashwin who scored 61 runs and then Mohammed Shami who played a helping knock of 20 runs.
