The news of Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant meeting with an accident on December 30 shook the entire nation. While ever since the incident the 25-year-old has received messages wishing him a speedy recovery from cricketers around the world and prominent people from all walks of life, a video has now gone viral on the internet in which Pant's national teammate Ishan Kishan could be seen reacting after finding out about the accident.
Notably, Kishan, also a wicketkeeper batter like Pant, was playing a Ranji Trophy match for Jharkhand at the Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur when he was informed about the accident by the fans who were waiting for him to take selfies. Kishan was in belief as he said "Kya? (What?)."

Pant Responding Well To Treatment
Notably, Pant was driving from Delhi to Roorkee to visit his mother for New Year when he met with this accident. While initial reports had suggested that the cricketer had dozed off while driving, later claims hint that the Delhi Capitals captain was trying to avoid a pothole on the road when he lost control of the vehicle.
"Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. Rishabh’s condition remains stable, and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment," the BCCI had said in an official statement.
Post this update from the Board, Pant has reportedly undergone a plastic surgery and is responding well to treatment. The cricketer can take anywhere between 3-6 months to cover completely which implies he is unlikely to feature in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In that case, the Delhi franchise will have to look for another candidate who can lead in his absence.
