Indian skipper Virat kohli was seen bowling his signature right-arm medium-fast on Day 3 of the four-match practice match against Cricket Australia XI on Friday. The fans present at the stadium showed full support to captain-turned 'fourth seamer'.
This is not the first time when Kohli bowled in a cricket match as he has eight international wickets to his name in the limited-over format.
The 30-year old conceded six runs in the two overs he bowled.
Within no time, the fans posted tons of videos on social media which showed Kohli bowling…
On the third day, Cricket Australia XI were 356/6 in 102 overs at stumps in response to India's 358 all out at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.
Earlier in the day, India suffered a major blow as Shaw was injured in the 15th over, bowled by R Ashwin. The youngster put in a juggling effort at the boundary, only to take a tumble and roll over his left ankle and dropping the ball for six runs.
Shaw was carried off the field and taken to a local hospital for scans. Since then, lateral ligament damage to his left ankle has been confirmed. No replacement or addition has been named for the Test squad as yet, but a team management source confirmed that they would monitor Shaw's progress further before making a final call.
India will take on Australia in four-Test series, starting December 6 in Adelaide.
