Thanks to a cheeky attempt that created drama, Mishra became the second batsman in the history of the Indian Premier League to be given out obstructing the field. The incident took place during the IPL Eliminator between Delhi Capitals and Sunrises Hyderabad on Wednesday.

With Keemo Paul and Amit Mishra on the crease, DC needed two off last four balls when SRH’s Khaleel Ahmed appealed for a caught behind. However, Mishra ran towards the other end to steal a quick single and reduce the pressure on his team. As he approached the crease, the replays showed that the leg-spinner deliberately obstructed the field.

However, Young Keemo Paul gave the final touches to a Rishabh Pant blitzkrieg as Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by two wickets in a nerve-wracking IPL Eliminator to bag its first win in an IPL playoff match in five attempts.

"If you are set on a wicket like this, you have to finish the match for your team. I took it very close, but next time I will finish it for the team. (Pressure) I just try to be positive. If your mindset is negative, it doesn't help," said Pant.
