The former India skipper Virat Kohli has been in prolific form for a while. He has been making headlines with his brilliant performances in the ongoing T20 World Cup. On Wednesday, he became the leading run-getter in men’s T20 World Cup cricket during the Super 12 match against Bangladesh at the Adelaide Oval.
He reached the feat when he crossed 16 runs, surpassing the Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene’s record tally of 1016 runs. Kohli has scored the most number of the fifties in T20 World Cups. He has been in top form in the 2022 T20 World Cup as he smashed two fifties.
The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is the second leading run-getter in T20 World Cups and T20Is among active cricketers.
