Virat Kohli made his international debut in 2008 in India's ODI match against Sri Lanka. After this, in 2010, he made his debut in T20 International cricket in a match against Zimbabwe.
Virat Kohli: India's most successful Test captain
Virat was handed over reins of India's Test team after MS Dhoni stepped down from the captaincy post. Under Virat's captaincy, team India played 68 Test matches, in which they won 40 and lost 17. Kohli captained the Indian Test team for the first time in 2014 and played the last Test match of his career as India captain in 2022 against South Africa.
Kohli has so far played 109 Tests, 274 ODIs and 115 T20 Internationals in his international career. The veteran has so far scored 8479 runs at an average of 48.72 in185 innings of Tests with 28 tons and 28 fifties and a personal best score of 254* runs.
Kohli has so far scored 12898 runs in ODIs at an average of 57.32 and 4008 runs in T20 Internationals at an average of 52.73. The batting icon has scored 46 tons in ODIs and 1 century in T20Is.
