New Delhi: New Zealand’s speedster Tim Southee scalped a hat-trick on Sunday against India in the second T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. This was the second time that Southee has taken a hat-trick in the shortest format of the game.

The Blackcaps speedster made it to the elite list as he joined Lasith Malinga as the only two bowlers to have two hat-tricks in T20Is. It was in the final over of the match when Southee took three wickets in consecutive balls and Pandya, Deepak Hooda, and Washington Sundar were his victims.

For the Indian team, Suryakumar Yadav scored a century in just 49 balls and ended up smashing 111 runs in just 51 balls.  The veteran bowler of New Zealand just gave five runs in the over and made sure that India could not get past 200.
